Mrs. Mary P. Davis, 84, of 1103 Custis Road, Suffolk, died May 30, 2005 in Obici Hospital. She was a native of Windsor, N.C She was the daughter of the late John Henry Parker and Fannie Bazemore Parker. She retired from Planters Peanut Company after 41 years.

She was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church. Her survivors include her devoted husband, Morris Davis, of Suffolk; a devoted son and daughter-in-law, James Parker (Janice), of Suffolk; sister, Hattie R. Boone, Suffolk; brother, Robert Carter of Windsor; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held Friday, June 3, 2005 at noon at Tabernacle Christian Church. The Rev. Dr. Carlton Upton will officiate. The interment will be held in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge of the arrangements.
