10 from Suffolk honored at Virginia Tech commencement

BLACKSBURG, ., June 13, 2005 – Ten students from Suffolk were among those honored at the Virginia Tech spring commencement ceremony held May 13 in Lane Stadium. Approximately 5,200 bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. candidates along with their families and friends attended the on-campus ceremony presided by Virginia Tech President Charles W. Steger.
-Ashlea Charlton
Charlton received a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural and applied economics from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
-Angela Knight
Knight received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree (cum laude) in accounting and information systems from the Pamplin College of Business.
-Lindsey Bailey
Bailey received a Bachelor of Science degree in apparel, housing, and resource management from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
-Sarah Blythe
Blythe received a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
-Kelly Hicks
Hicks received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the College of Science.
-Michael McGahee
McGahee received a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) in geography from the College of Natural Resources.
-Jonathan Payne
Payne received a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
-David Luter
Luter received a Bachelor of Arts degree (magna cum laude) in public and urban affairs from the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.
-Hayley Michealson
Michealson received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree (cum laude) in accounting and information systems from the Pamplin College of Business.
