Thelma V. Hinton has been appointed to the Virginia Legal Aid Society Board of Directors.

Hinton serves as a member of the Suffolk Public School Board and as resident council president of Hoffler Apartments. She has served as the vice chairperson for the Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority.

Hinton holds a Bachelor’s in social work from Norfolk State University. She is an active member of the East Suffolk Federated Civic League and an organizer of National Night Out in her community.
