&uot;This is a big event that will allow me to showcase my God given talent before some of L.A.’s top casting directors and agents,&uot; said Powell, &uot;but most importantly to bring some Christian art to the stage and big screen.&uot;

Powell, a single, divorced mother, who acts, writes plays and directs, is asking the community to provide support for her flight and lodging during the retreat. The agency will cover her food and legal costs during the stay; however, she’s left to pay the $500 cost of her air fare and lodging.

&uot;I am asking for donations to help make my dreams come true,&uot; said Powell.
