Dorothy Jayne Noble, 46, of the 8200 Harlan Drive, died Aug. 29, 2005 in her residence. She was a native of Portsmouth, and a 1977 graduate of Alliance Christian High School. She was the daughter of the late Clifford Noble. She retired as a realtor for Rose and Womble Realty.

She is survived by her mother, Juanita Noble; one sister, Rose Anne Bernyk of Torrance, Calif.; one brother, Clifford Noble II of San Diego, Calif., and a cousin, Vera Lee Buchanan of Suffolk.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church by Rev. Carl LeMon. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel is handling the arrangements.
