Henry Lee Fulgham, 60, of 829 Kilby Ave., Suffolk, Va., died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Isle of Wight and the son of the late James Fulgham Jr. and Annie Keller Fulgham. He was predeceased by one grandchild, Kemari Davis.
He attended school in Isle of Wight. He was employed by Georgia Pacific for 15 years until he became disabled. He was a member of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Willie Mae J. Fulgham, until the end; daughters, Altovise Johnson, of Portsmouth, Va., LaForya Fulgham, of Smithfield, Va., Tiffany Johnson and Vonetta Fulgham, both of Suffolk; stepdaughters, Helen Copeland (Curtis), Samantha Cousar (Johnathan), both of Suffolk, and Emma Waters (Tony), of Portsmouth, Va.; sons, Henry Bennett (Kim), of Suffolk, Delvin Holland, of Norfolk, Va., Henry Barnes, LeVar Johnson and Barron Bennett, all of Suffolk; sisters, Evelyn Wilkerson, of Smithfield, Va., and Annie Mae Paul (James), of Hampton, Va.; brothers, Bennon Fulgham (Shelia), of Suffolk, Thomas Earl Fulgham, of Crewe, Va., and Pernell Fulgham, of New York; 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, five step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; aunts, Pricella Keller, of New York, N.Y., and Mildred Robertson, of Windsor, Va.; uncles, Henry Keller, of Smithfield, Va., and Alexander Keller, of New York; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. John E. Jones. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
