A 65-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital after he was partially ejected from his vehicle in a two-car accident Thursday morning.
The wreck occurred about 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of Bennett’s Pasture and Sleepy Hole roads, according to city spokeswoman Debbie George. The two-car accident left the man injured after his vehicle flipped and turned on its side, partially ejecting him from the vehicle.
The man was taken by Nightingale air ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was in stable condition when the helicopter left, George said.
She did not know if he had been wearing a seatbelt.
