Mrs. Geneva F. Kenney, passed away quietly on January 12, 2006 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, Va.

She was a native of Portsmouth, daughter of the late Richard and Idella Riddick Freeman and widow of L. Pernell Kenney.

She is survived by several cousins of which is Mrs. Vickie Wiggins-Pittman (Stanley) of Suffolk who also served as her caretaker.

A celebration of life will take place Monday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. from the Little Bethel Baptist Church, by the Rev. Bernard Thomas.

Interment will be held at the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing will be on Sunday at Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the home Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.
