Mary Lee Joe of the 4100 block of Bonney Road, Virginia Beach, died April 3, 2006, in Sentara Bayside Hospital. A native of Drum Hill, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Brownie Hinton Williams and the widow of Harvey Douglas Joe Jr.

She was a retired store keeper at the Village Auction Barn. She was a Baptist and a member of the Choir, Usher Board, and Missionary Ministry.

She is survived by a son, James Joe (Mary) of Hampton; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

The funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, April 8, 2006 in Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church, 631 Brook avenue, Suffolk, by the Rev. Dr. John E. Jones, Pastor. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, Friday from 7-8 p.m. The Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church.
