Saint Paul RZUA Church, 619 Spruce St., will be hosting the annual Community Midday Passion Week Celebration sponsored by Suffolk Community Holy Week Association. Services are today and Friday noon daily. Guest evangelist is the Rev. Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds Sr., pastor at Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Maundy Thursday Service will be held April 13th 7 p.m. at Tabernacle Christian Church, 1401 E. Washington St.
Annual Fellowship services will be held jointly between Missouri Baptist, Bethlehem Christian, and St. Paul Baptist churches at Bethlehem Christian Church, 312 Bute St., on Thursday, April 13, Elder C.V. Main Street United Methodist Church’s Maundy Thursday (April 13) Holy Communion and Chance Choir presentation of the Holy week portion of “Out of The Shadows” will begin at 7 p.m.
Six local churches will come together during Passion Week, each night at 7:30 p.m. They are New Emanuel, Rose of Sharon, Faith Community, Friendship Cathedral, St. Mary, and Gates of Heaven. Thursday, April 13, will be at Friendship Cathedral on Godwin Boulevard.
Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, 37527 Seacock Chapel Road, Zuni, will have Maundy Thursday Communion at 7 p.m. on April 13.

Windsor Baptist Church, 4 Church St., Windsor, will have Maundy Thursday service at 7:30 p.m., April 13.
Main Street United Methodist Church’s Good Friday service starts at 7 p.m., Friday, April 14.

Passion Week will be held April 13, and 14 at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. George Smith preaching every night, at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church, 635 Brook Ave.

Good Friday service for Oxford United Methodist Church, West End Baptist Church, and Suffolk Presbyterian Church will be held at West End Baptist Church, 501 W. Washington St., at 7:30 p.m., April 14. Call 539-8253.
Good Friday service will begin at 7:30 p.m. on April 14, at Greater First Baptist Church, 600 Factory St., with guest speaker Rev. Dr. Gardner C. Taylor. He has spoken on all continents, and has more honorary doctorate degrees than any other living preacher. Music will be provided by the Lakeland High School Gospel Choir and the Greater First Baptist Church Mass Choir.
Southside Holy Week fellowship services will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 14, at Gethsemane Baptist Church (Communion will be served), and in charge will be King’s Grove Pentecostal Church.
Friday, April 14, 1-4 p.m., there will be 3-hour Good Friday service at Bethlehem Christian Church, 1549 Holland Rd., with six area ministers addressing the congregation on the last seven words of Jesus. Tabernacle Baptist Outreach Center, 3621 Nansemond Pkwy., will have guest speakers Rev. Walter Hale, Rev. Jeffrey Dancy and Rev. Ken Davie during Passion Week, April 12-14, nightly at 7:30 p.m.
God’s Anointed Touch Ministries will present an Easter Eggstravaganza with an Easter egg hunt, egg toss, egg decorating, and more, at the Windsor School of Dance, 40 E. Windsor Blvd., Windsor, on Saturday, April 15, starting at 3 p.m.
Suffolk Presbyterian Church, 410 N. Broad St., is having an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 15 with games, prizes, and refreshments. Use your basket or ours. Call 539-3213.
Windsor Baptist Church, 4 Church St., Windsor, is having a Children’s Easter Party on Saturday, April 15 from 3-5 p.m.
West End Baptist Church will have an Easter Egg Hunt at the church for children of pre-school age through 10 years. The event will take place Saturday, April 15 from 1-2 p.m., and is sponsored by the Children’s Sunday School Department. Call 539-8771.
Easter Sunday Sunrise Community Service will be held April 16, 7 a.m., at Tabernacle Christian Church, 1401 E. Washington St., with guest speaker, the Rev. Carlton D. Everett, assistant pastor.
Main Street United Methodist Church’s Easter Sunday service will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m., April 16, and
“Celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord” at 6:30 p.m.
Easter Sunrise Service at Wilroy Baptist Church, 306 Williams Rd., will be at 7 a.m., Sunday, April 16. Breakfast will follow, and the Easter celebration will continue with small group Bible Fellowships at 9:45 a.m., followed by worship and praise at 11 a.m.

The Golden Keys of Smithfield Va. are sponsoring an Easter Gospel Extravaganza, featuring four excellent groups at the Tabernacle Baptist Outreach Center, 3621 Nansemond Parkway, Sunday, April 16 at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
