Clarine White Deloatch Butler, 93, of the 100 block of Lee Street, Suffolk, died April 16, 2006 in River Pointe Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Virginia Beach. She was a native of Coraine, N.C., and was daughter of the late Charlie and Hettie Addie Mitchell White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Casper Butler; a daughter, Dorothy M. Deloatch; and a son, William H. Deloatch Jr..
She was retired from Planters Peanut Company after 49 years of service. She was a member of St. Pauls Baptist Church of Suffolk.
She is survived by one son, Albert Deloatch of Columbus, Ga.; two sisters, Cora Ricks and Cleo White Jones, both of Mount Vernon, N.Y.; one brother, Edward L. White of Dover, Del.; a special granddaughter, Mrs. Constance Copeland Cheeks (on whom she was dependent throughout the years); nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006 in St. Pauls Baptist Church, 806 Lincoln Ave., by Bishop C. V. Russell, III. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at 148 Lee Street. The body will be taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
