Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Wayne Morris of Chesterfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Lauren Morris to Matthew Nealson Hughes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Leigh Hughes of Suffolk.

Brooke is the granddaughter of Colonel and Mrs. George William Morris of Annandale and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Cleveland Barlow of Virginia Beach. She is a graduate of Midlothian High School and received her B.S. degree in industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech. Brooke is currently the production manager of Super Radiator Coils in Richmond.

Matt is the grandson of Mrs. Estelle Woolridge Hughes and the late Mr. Neal Warren Hughes and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Nelson Dickinson of Suffolk. He is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and earned a B.S. degree in marketing management from Virginia Tech. He is now an appraiser with Premier Appraisal Group, Inc. in Richmond.

An August 5, 2006 wedding is planned in Blacksburg.
