Mrs. Ella Johnson Demiel, 57, of 411 St. James Ave., died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at her residence.

A native of Nansemond County, she was a daughter of Murry “Bud” Johnson and the late Louise Johnson.

Other survivors include husband, Lonnie Demiel; son, Derrick Copeland; daughter, Akia Barnes; stepdaughter, Tamika Demiel; two grandchildren; six sisters; five brothers; two uncles; four aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Gates of Heaven C.O.G.I.C. by the Rev. Jerry Boone.

Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Peebles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
