Mr. and Mrs. David A. Michael of Suffolk proudly announce the engagement of their son, Robert Carey Michael to Meredith Brette Lynch, the daughter of Ms. Terry B. Heid of Smithfield and Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Lynch of Windsor.

Carey, a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, is currently employed as a superintendent with Dominion Building Group.

Meredith, a graduate of Smithfield High School, is currently employed as an assistant credit manager with Ferguson Enterprises.

A November 2006 wedding is planned.
