Mr. and Mrs. Steven Askew, of Eure, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Lynn Askew, of Eure, to Wade Harris Boyce, of Hertford, N.C., son of Mrs. Pat Boyce, of Hertford, and the late M.C. Boyce III.

Miss Askew is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darden Askew, of Eure, and the late Roy and Irene Worrell, of Holland.

Mr. Boyce is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Boyce Jr. and Mrs. Pallie Harris, all of Elizabeth City, N.C. and the late Mr. William Harris.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 8, 2011, at Eure Christian Church in Eure.
