Suffolk police are looking for a vandal with a flair for the dramatic after finding black spray paint on the side of their headquarters building.

Officers on patrol noticed the markings early Friday morning. Someone had spray-painted the words “Suffolk’s Finest” in one place and “Phantom” in another, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

George said she is not aware of any gang associated with the word “phantom.”

Police don’t expect the vandals to be invisible for long. Video surveillance of the building’s surroundings is being reviewed, George said.
