William “Bill” E. Seivertson, 68, of 304 S. Division St., Suffolk, Va., died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was a native of Detroit, Mich. and the son of the late Leroy and Rita Irene Seivertson. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Seivertson.
He retired from the Ford Motor Company after 30 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, L. Louise Seivertson; two daughters, Theresa Noel (Mike) of Southgate, Mich., and Lisa Gazarek (Steve), of Brooklyn, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Sherri Woodfin, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sons, Tom Seivertson (Lynette), of River Rouge, Mich., Dale Seivertson (Rose), of E Corse, Mich.; three stepsons, Keith Woodfin, of Hampton, Va., Naftali Jenkins and Ayinde Jenkins, both of Suffolk; 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Ann Terry, of Romulus, Mich., Sue Travis (Rich), of New Boston, Mich., and Karen Seivertson-Prichett, of Brownstown, Mich.; one brother, Chuck Seivertson; uncles, Don Gratrix, Bob Gratrix; aunt, Shirley Gratrix; brothers-in-law, Herman Clemons and Darnell Clemons; sisters-in-law, Ruth Gatling and Jean Clemons; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon, Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2635 E. Washington St. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
