A Chesapeake woman pleaded guilty in Suffolk Circuit Court Thursday to her role in a rash of catalytic converter thefts in July.

Tiffany Nicole Holt, 22, of Chesapeake signed a deal under which she pleaded guilty to seven felonies: three counts of grand larceny and one count each of attempted grand larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, larceny with intent to sell and possession of burglary tools. In exchange for Holt’s plea, the court dropped seven additional charges initially filed against her, prosecutor Matthew Glassman said.

Holt, who will be sentenced on Feb. 2, 2009, could receive a maximum sentence of 120 years in prison.

Holt and two other suspects, David Christopher Bone, 27, and Nicholas Edward Villi, 26, both of Windsor, were arrested in July after a school resource officer spotted them near a teacher’s car at King’s Fork Middle School, according to police. Police stopped their car on Lake Prince Road after learning that the catalytic converter on the teacher’s car had been stolen.

As part of the plea deal, Holt agreed to testify against both Bone and Villi, whose cases are slated to be heard in December. Bone and Villi were indicted on 27 charges each stemming from the incidents.
