Holland water shutdown set
Published 4:37 pm Monday, November 17, 2008
Approximately 154 Holland-area homes will be temporarily without water for approximately four hours on Wednesday. The scheduled interruption will allow for connection of a new 12-inch water main to the existing distribution system and three existing wells.
The shutdown will take place during the day beginning at 9 a.m., with water being turned back on by 1 p.m. Letters were delivered to those whose service will be impacted. Should the connection have to be rescheduled, the work will be done on Thursday during the same hours.
If residents have any questions during this process, they should contact the Suffolk Department of Public Utilities at 514-7000.
