Motorists should expect mobile lane closures from 7 to 11 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, and at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday. The closures are intended to allow for fire extinguisher inspections in those facilities.

To avoid delays, the Virginia Department of Transportation recommends using the alternate bridge-tunnel during inspections.
