To the editor:

A recent event given by Faith Temple Church for the Saratoga community to honor the late Bishop Obadiah Colander turned out to be just wonderful.

It was well planned and carried out in such a wonderful way that people should be proud of what they did.

Bishop Colander loved the Saratoga community, and it is because of him that we enjoy some of the things that we have now. He was a man of great integrity, and he left a great legacy.

Having been a resident of the Saratoga community for almost 77 years, I can say that his work speaks for him.

And, by the way, he also left a legacy of fine young men as sons and a fine young lady as his daughter.
