Lillian M. Smith, 75, of 1432 Pinto Court, Suffolk, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Waverly Health Care Center in Waverly, Va. She was a native of North Carolina and the daughter of the late Willie Goodman and Irene Askew Goodman.

She was formerly employed with Smithfield Packing Company.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Emmett Bailey, of Suffolk; a special niece, Ruth Council, of Suffolk; a special nephew, Leroy Goodman, of Norfolk, Va.; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Friday, June 24, 2011, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Mark Croston. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
