Michael Eugene Frierdich, a proud Vietnam War veteran and dedicated Navy corpsman, passed away peacefully at home, December 23, 2024. He was the son of the late Eugene and Alice Frierdich. Born with a heart for service, Michael was part of the first graduating class of the Louise Obici Memorial Nursing School to accept men in 1975, helping to transform the culture of nursing to include men.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Cynthia Frierdich; his daughters, Michelle Shea (married to Chris Shea) and Jenny Andrus (married to Chad Andrus); his cherished grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Samuel, Benjamin, and Cynthia; and his adored great-grandchildren, Dallas, Dakota, and Dean. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Alice Skees, Sharon Frierdich, Robyn Weilbacher, and David Frierdich. He was preceded in death by his brother Gerry Frierdich.
