SUFFOLK, VA – On Monday, December 16, 2024, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Suffolk Police responded to a two vehicle crash on Route 58 near the Franklin bypass.

Upon arrival, officers found a box truck was traveling eastbound when it hit a cushion truck.

The sole occupant of the box truck, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Suffolk Police would like to remind residents it is a law in Virginia to slow down and move over anytime there are flashing lights on the roadway. This is for the safety of all drivers on our roadways.

This is an ongoing investigation and there is no further information available for release at this time.
