Delores Jackson Duplissey, 88 of Suffolk, VA, went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl Jackson of Gates County NC. She was predeceased by her husband, William F. Duplissey; sister, Ann Farless; brothers, Fred Jackson and Thomas Jackson Jr.

Delores was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, where she was involved in many church activities including a member of the Joyce Anne Harrell Sunday School class and the King Circle. She was also a member of the Bethlehem Ruritan Club. Delores graduated from Chowan College. She was a devoted employee of Louise Obici Memorial Hospital for more than 40 years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Robin Morris (Bert) and Bonnie Maki (Brain), both of Suffolk; brother, Phil Jackson of Portsmouth; 2 grandchildren, Kelly Clinton (Jeremy) and Kimbelry Hurley (Steven); and 4 great grandchildren, Makenzie Clinton, Jackson Clinton, Caroline Hurley, and Robert Hurley; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her loving Care givers Jody Brown, Samantha Johnson, and Etienne Williams for their compassionate and loving care.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Bethlehem Christian Church at 2pm followed by a visitation at the church. Private burial at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date. At other times the family will be gathered at the home of Robin and Bert Morris.
