According to a media release, a shed fire along King’s Highway was contained by Suffolk Fire & Rescue on Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at 12:44 p.m. in the 200 block of King’s Highway. The first unit arrived at 12:49 p.m. to find the shed fully engulfed in flames. The fire had spread to a nearby outbuilding before firefighters arrived. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, preventing further damage to the nearby structure. The shed was located a safe distance from the home, which remained unaffected. The fire was declared under control at 1:11 p.m and no injuries were reported. The Suffolk Fire Marshals office is investigating the fire’s cause.
