Earl Lawrence Bass

Earl Lawrence Bass, 70, passed away on November 6, 2024. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Gertrude Hazel Bass Smith and Albert Bass. He is also predeceased by his son, Eric Bass. He worked as a welder for over 30 years at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was Chief Emeritus of the Nansemond Indian Nation.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Loleta Marie Saul Bass; son, Aaron Michael Bass; grandchildren, Trinity Autumn Bass, Nathaniel Christian Bass, Kaitlyn Michelle Bass, and Jacob Michael Bass; sister, Anne Bass; brother, Sam Bass; and daughter in law, Beth Moore Bass.

Earl’s memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Mattanock Town. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in honor of Earl. Post condolences on parrfuneralhome.com.
