Mr. Johnny C. Wright, age 73, of South Hill, died Saturday November 2, 2024 in VCU/MCV in Richmond. Mr. Wright was a teacher/coach at the former John F. Kennedy High School and Nansemond River High School in Suffolk, Warwick High School and Heritage High School in Newport News and Park View Sr High School. Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bobbie Wright; his daughter, Claire Mitchell (Dakota) of South Hill; his son, Eric Wright (Jennifer) of Elkin, NC; his grandchild, Jade; his sister, Martha Harrelson (Tim) of Boonville, NC; and his brothers, Ray Wright (Kathi) of Boonville, NC and Bobby Wright (Toni) of Lexington, NC. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with American Legion Post #79 Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 until time of service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mecklenburg Cancer Association, P.O.
