To the beautiful city of Suffolk, whether it is our countryside town or our upcoming city part, there is a major problem that is being ignored. Suffolk has come along very well but our roads have not. As a law-abiding taxpayer, it is hard to believe our money isn’t being used for what really needs to be fixed.

It is nice to have new businesses coming down to the city, but we need our roads redone. As more families moved, the roads have become busier and ragged. There are parts of the road that have deep potholes and cracks. Downtown Suffolk is suffering badly from this mishap especially where the railroad tracks are when you pass McDonald’s on North Main Street.

It feels as if downtown Suffolk is being forgotten about. The money that we work hard for to pay high rent and necessities and then for taxes to be taken out and we see it isn’t being used for what should be fixed to keep Suffolk in a nice upkeep is very disappointing.
