In 2024, the Suffolk Center will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Prince’s iconic film and album *Purple Rain*. Released on July 27, 1984, this semi-autobiographical musical produced the legendary *Purple Rain* soundtrack, which includes hits like “When Doves Cry,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” “I Would Die 4 U,” and the title track “Purple Rain.”
To honor this music legend, the Suffolk Center will kick off its 19th Performance Season with *The Purple Piano* on September 27, 2024, at 8 PM. This event features Marshal Charloff, a renowned Prince tribute artist known for his authentic performances that mirror Prince’s intimate solo piano shows from his Las Vegas residency.
‘The Purple Piano’ promises an unforgettable experience for fans, combining beloved hits and B-sides with engaging stories and visual imagery. Attendees can expect to hear classics like “Kiss,” “Little Red Corvette,” and “Sign of the Times.”
Tickets range from $35 to $45, with additional options for Dinner Theater and Party Packages. Tickets are available by calling the Box Office at 757-923-2900 or visiting the Suffolk Center’s website.
