Brian Lee March, 68, passed away in Norfolk, Virginia on August 23, 2024. Born in Suffolk, Virginia on June 26, 1956, he was reared in his beloved community of Carrsville, Virginia. He was a graduate of Windsor High School, where he played basketball for the late Tex Murray.

Brian was an excellent farmer and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and playing softball. He also enjoyed tending to his orchard, spending time in his barn, and taking trips to the mountains. He was a founding member of the Community Hunt Club where he hosted morning coffee gatherings. He was also an active member at Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Brian was predeceased by his father, Jodie Lee March and his brother, Stephen Williams March. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Williams March; his loving wife of 46 years Susan Drake March; daughters, Kristin March Shaffer (David), Courtney March Berard (Eric), Kari Elizabeth Van Wassen (Matthew); grandchildren, Ethan Brisson, Kaleigh Brisson, Jodi Brisson, Noah Olson, Trevor Berard, Taylor Berard Davis (Mike), Sadie Van Wassen, Colton Van Wassen, Samuel Shaffer, and Christian Shaffer; great granddaughter, Madison Brisson, a sister, Karen March Crawford (Richard) and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a visitation on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home, 206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851, from 6 PM to 8 PM. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday August 28, 2024 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Johnson officiating.
