The City of Suffolk has announced that applications are now open for the Downtown Suffolk Advisory Committee. 

The committee was established to provide input and recommendations on downtown revitalization. The committee serves as a link between the community and the city government. Members will focus on promoting economic development, preserving historical landmarks, enhancing public spaces, and fostering a vibrant downtown atmosphere.

The committee will include eleven members appointed by the Suffolk City Council, representing various community sectors such as residents, business owners, property owners, and other stakeholders committed to downtown Suffolk’s success.

Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the city’s website at www.suffolkva.us to access the online application form and review the eligibility criteria. The application deadline is July 1, 2024.
