The City of Suffolk Parks & Recreation Department offers hundreds of fun activities. This summer, it invites residents to complete 50 of them to commemorate the City of Suffolk’s 50th Anniversary!
To participate, individuals can pick up a game board from one of three free-standing Recreation Centers (Bennett’s Creek Recreation Center, 1500 Bennetts Creek Park Rd.; Curtis R. Milteer, Sr. Recreation Center, 132 Robertson St.; or East Suffolk Recreation Center, 138 S. 6th St.) or Administration Building (134 S. 6th St.), or you can visit suffolkparksandrec.com to print a copy.
Participants should travel throughout Suffolk’s extensive park network and complete at least 40 of the 50 activities, marking them off the game board as they progress. Game boards must be submitted to one of the free-standing recreation centers or the Administration Building by 5 p. m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, to receive an instant prize and to be entered into the grand prize drawing. Completion of all 50 activities earns participants two entries into the grand prize drawing.
For more information, a game board, or hints on completing the activities visit suffolkparksandrec.com or contact the Suffolk Parks & Recreation Department at (757) 514-7250 or parksemail@suffolkva.us.
