Police are following leads in a stabbing that occurred just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday on Roland Street.

According to city spokeswoman Debbie George, the victim was involved in an argument and was stabbed in the back and the ear. He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital to be treated for injuries that are considered non-life-threatening.

No arrests have been made yet, George said. Police are following a number of leads.
