Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting death that occurred early Tuesday morning in the 200o block of Mill Lake Road. According to police, at approximately 8:05 a.m. on Jan. 30, the 911 center received a report of a shooting incident on Mill Lake Road.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found an adult female with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the woman has not been released at this time.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and there is no further information available for release.
