Super load coming through Suffolk could cause delays

A super load move involving the hauling of a transformer could cause delays in traffic on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., according to a press release from the City of Suffolk.

The move will come from Norfolk and travel through Suffolk westbound on Route 58 to Isle of Wight County.

The truck and load will measure 15 feet six inches tall, 14 feet 6 inches wide, 199 feet in length, and will weigh 411,000 pounds. The move will have certified front and rear escorts.
