Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded early Monday morning, Jan. 15, 2024, to a reported residential structure fire in the 4300 block of Lake Prince Drive, according to a press release from the department.

According to the release, when firefighters arrived, they found a single-story home with smoke showing from the rear of the structure.  Firefighters entered the home and found an active fire in the crawl space of the house. Crews performed an extensive overhaul of the home to ensure the fire was extinguished. Occupants safely evacuated prior to the arrival of fire units.  The fire was under control at 5:51 a.m.

No injuries to firefighters or the occupants.  The fire has been declared accidental in nature.  Two adult occupants have been displaced as a result of the fire.
