Camille Annette Harrell, 51, of Suffolk gained her place in heaven on Dec. 26, 2023. She was born on Aug. 16, 1972, in Tulsa, Okla. to the late Pamela Robinson. She attended Bishop Kelley in Tulsa and went on to Colorado State. Camille moved to San Francisco where she met Ryan, the love of her life.
Camille is survived by her husband of 26 years, Ryan Everett Harrell; daughters, Peyton and Anne-Perry; father-in-law, Richard Harrell and his wife, Nora Butler; sisters-in-law, Nicole Harrell Duke (Eley) and Dena Harrell Bailey (Kevin); and Aquina Buehrig, Erika Buehrig Carlson (Tim) and Grant Buehrig Jr. She had numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children and as well as extended family throughout the midwest. She is predeceased by her mother-in-law, Judy Harrell.
Camille will be celebrated for her kindness, compassion and selfless generosity. She was the foundation to many of those who had the good fortune to know her. Her greatest joy in life came in raising her two beautiful girls and being with Ryan. She was a constant presence in their lives at home, at their schools, at their sporting events and even from afar once they left for college. Camille and Ryan immensely enjoyed being with friends and traveling. Her dedication to her family and her passion for life shown through all she did.
Camille embraced the Suffolk community and made a lasting impact through her involvement in Suffolk 60 Care, Relay for Life, American Cancer Society and the Party with a Purpose, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Development Advisory Committee, Suffolk Art League, Westover Garden Club and Magazine Club. She served as the co-chair of the NSA Art Show & Sale for many years.
Her life left an indelible mark on her family and friends. Although she will forever be missed, she will continue to be a guiding light for all who knew her.
