On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the Suffolk Emergency Communications Center received a call regarding a shooting incident in the 2200 block of East Washington Street.

Suffolk Police arrived at the scene and discovered several spent shell casings. Prior to their arrival, an adult female was self-transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that are considered non-life-threatening.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no further information is available for release.
