New Life Church Global will be presenting the Jazz & Jokes Holiday Comedy Show on Saturday, Dec. 23, to uplight people during the holidays and to help develop the church’s ability to minister to people in the area.

The comedy show will feature Anguz Black; Venard Hines, also known as  “The Laugh Therapist”; and James Lawson. 

Bringing the jazz music will be saxophonist Talton Manning.

The event will also feature vendors and food and drinks.

Tickets, including general admission and VIP packages, are on sale at www.EventBrite.com for the show, which will be held at The Two Sisters Event Venue located at 205 S. Main St. in Franklin. The doors open at 5 p.m., and the show will start at 6 p.m.

New Life Church Global Senior Pastor Dr. Eric Majette noted that the show was born out of a desire to encourage people during the holidays, which can be a stressful time, and it will also help the church expand its ministry potential by developing the first phase of what it is calling The Jeremiah Project.

The project is a building endeavor at the church’s location at 1101 Johnson Circle in Franklin, and the first phase of the project will bring in a commercial kitchen.
