It is that time of year again, and the City of Suffolk is preparing for the 2023 Peanut Festival Parade.

Please be advised of road closures in downtown Suffolk on Saturday, Sept. 30. Street closures along the parade route and all surrounding streets in the area will take place as early as 7:30 a.m. and no later than 9:00 a.m., according to the Suffolk Police Department. SPD says any vehicles parked along the parade route will be towed if the owner/driver cannot be located.

The parade will officially start at 10:00 a.m. Suffolk Public Works will assist with road closures, detour signage, and posting of signs to prohibit parking in the designated parade route areas.

Please plan ahead for travel and expect delays in the downtown area.
