Motorcycle rider dead in Saturday motorcycle 2-vehicle crash

A Suffolk man riding a motorcycle died Saturday, July 1 in a crash with a vehicle.

Myles Lavarez Goodman, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle collision that occurred in the 500 block of County Street.

Suffolk Police Officers responded to the scene at about 11 p.m. Saturday. Police said in a news release the preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle struck a vehicle that was backing out of a driveway. The motorcycle had one rider and the vehicle was occupied solely by the driver.

Police said Goodman, the motorcycle operator, was pronounced deceased on scene.
The accident is still under investigation. Police said no additional information is available at this time.
