Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia launched its I-Ride NOW program June 1, as the newest addition to its transportation services.

I-Ride NOW provides on-demand transportation to older adults who are 60 and over, according to a Senior Services news release. The pilot program has launched in the Harbour View Area of Suffolk and extends to a 10 mile radius.

Older adults in the area can call for a ride to anywhere like the bank, grocery store, movies, shopping mall and more. The I-Ride NOW service is free for a limited time and is currently operating 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
