Two people died in a crash on Route 58 Wednesday evening.

The single-vehicle accident happened at 7 p.m. in the 1900 block of Portsmouth Boulevard. Two adult occupants were determined to be deceased on scene. Suffolk Fire & Rescue provided advanced life support care to an infant occupant on the scene before transporting the child to a hospital with serious injuries.

The preliminary investigation of Suffolk Police determined the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole.
