7-Eleven clerk shot multiple times and killed early Friday

The clerk at the Carolina Road 7-Eleven was shot and killed early Friday when two men entered the store and opened fire.
Suffolk Police said the incident occurred at the 7-Eleven in the 800 block of Carolina Road at about 12:38 a.m. Friday, May 5.
Two unknown suspects entered the store with handguns and immediately started shooting at the clerk, police said in a news release. The clerk, Ketron Exavier Smith, 20, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
No money or merchandise was taken from the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time. Police said there is no further information available for release.
