‘Finding Nemo Jr.’ premieres at Suffolk Center

The Hurrah Players is set to perform Disney and Pixar’s “Finding Nemo Jr.” at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts Saturday, March 25.
Pre-show family fun starts at 12:30 p.m., with the performance set to begin at 2 p.m. in the Birdsong Theater at the Suffolk Center.
This brand-new two act live stage musical is based on the beloved 2003 movie “Finding Nemo” with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Follow Marlin as he searches for his son, Nemo, with help from optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtles Crush and a supportive tank of zany fish – all helping Nemo tackle challenges on his journey.
This live stage production features memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With The Flow,” Finding Nemo Jr. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.
SCCA officials said in a news release that the performance is sure to be a spectacular experience for the entire family with vibrant costumes, amazing sets, soaring songs, and professional choreography.
The Hurrah Players, Virginia’s leading family theater company, performs this show under the direction of Hugh R. Copeland, the founder and artistic director of company and performing arts academy.
