A person wearing a clown mask held up the Happy Shopper in the 400 block of Carolina Road Friday night.

Suffolk Police are investigating the commercial armed robbery that occurred at 9:49 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3.

The suspect entered the store wearing a clown mask, produced a handgun and demanded money, police said in a news release. The suspect obtained an unknown amount of money and then fled the scene on foot.  There were no reported injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and police said there is no further information available for release.
