Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is excited to present “A Tribute to Peace,” a very special gallery exhibition curated to welcome the Kyiv City Ballet of Ukraine to the Suffolk Center during its four-day residency Sept. 19-22.
The compelling artwork created by 46 talented artists, features two-and three-dimensional pieces and an original poem, that project their visions of peace. The exhibition includes bright and cheerful sunflowers — Ukraine’s national flower — along with expressive ballet dancers, whimsical interpretations and powerful tributes to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The public is encouraged to attend the free gallery reception for “A Tribute to Peace” from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts. This opening event is a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists and take in the power and beauty of their artworks.
“A Tribute to Peace” is on view through Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays. Group tours available upon request. For additional information please visit www.SuffolkCenter.org or call 757.923.0003.
