One injured in early Monday morning shooting

An early Monday morning shooting left a man with life-threatening injuries.

Suffolk Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on the 800 block of West Washington Street at 12:02 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, according to a news release.

When officers arrived on the scene, the release states they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The unidentified man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

SPD said there is no suspect information available at this time. The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and there is no further information available for release.
