Suffolk Tourism has added an East Washington Street “Pop-Up” Farmers’ Market beginning this Tuesday.
The mini-market will be situated at East Washington and Tynes streets from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. each Tuesday in August. This is in addition to the midweek Wednesday Farmers’ Market under the Suffolk Visitor Center Pavilion, 524 N. Main St., from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. through Aug. 31.
The regular Suffolk Farmers’ Market continues every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Nov. 19 at the Suffolk Visitor Pavilion.
Market-goers will find locally grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, meats and poultry, eggs, jellies, jams, honey, pickles and handmade artisan crafts. A variety of family-friendly programming is offered throughout the market season, including live music, petting zoos, exhibits, arts & crafts, face-painting and balloon animals, etc.
Admission is free. Additional details may be found at SuffolkVaFarmersMarket.com
